Chris McCauley Bowers
Chris McCauley Bowers is a professional magician in the Washington D.C. metro area. His performing style combines skilled sleight of hand, audience interaction, and light comedy in a unique blend that has made him a hit with audiences as diverse as tax accountants and pre-schoolers. Chris regularly adapts his shows to various performing circumstances and is adept at close up magic, banquet (platform) magic and private party shows.
When he is not performing, he is often teaching magic to young people under the auspices of his school, Mystery Academy. He is a student of the philosophy and history of magic, as well as an expert in one of magic's most difficult branches, sleight of hand with coins.
Chris is also a Black Belt in T'ang Soo Do Karate, and teaches martial arts to people ages 8 to 80, including handicapped and developmentally disabled children.
Chris has entertained at corporate and promotional events, community and school events and numerous social and private parties. He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the International Conservatory of Magic. References available on request.
