Mystery Academy teaches students how to perform highly deceptive magic tricks (that easily fool adults) using sleight of hand, mathematical principles, psychology, and misdirection. There is no large apparatus to buy; this magic is taught using common, everyday articles: coins, rope, balls, and normal decks of cards.
But magic tricks are merely the medium for the more important lessons of Mystery Academy. As well as instruction in the deeper meaning of magic and art in general, students learn, most importantly, mental and social skills that can help them for the rest of their lives.
Your child will learn such skills as: speaking before large groups of people, voice projection, working with a partner, working in large groups, learning respect and courtesy for other artists, critiquing art in a positive manner, acting, appropriate comedy, philosophical and psychological concepts, intuitive thinking, the imaginative process, and how to teach others.
